The Thermal Effect Of Current
Dec 03, 2018

When a current passes through a resistance, it does work and consumes electrical energy, producing heat. This phenomenon is called the thermal effect of the current. Practice has proved that the heat generated by the current passing through the conductor is directly proportional to the square of the current, the resistance value of the conductor itself and the time of the current passing through. This is the conclusion of British scientists joule and Russian scientists lenz, known as the joule-lenz law.
